Beware of Friday afternoon examples
Date:April 18, 2013
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Did not meet expectations
After 11 years of brilliant Panasonic bread this model was a complete let down. Here is the outcome of several calibration bakes.
1. Need to use the dark setting to get an acceptable colour on all bakes.
2. Average height 77% of expected height.
3. Bread has structure and taste of cheap sliced bread.
The bread is edible but we want the home baked bread experience achieved consistently with the other Panasonic models not bought sliced bread.
What we want to know is if the machine is operating to specification or is it faulty so that it is worth pressing for an exchange.

Date:April 3, 2013
Pros: Easy to use, Exceeded Expectations, Convenient
Only purchased my Panasonic on Saturday have made two malted bread loaves so far both turned out perfect
can't wait to try other breads.
I think the secret is all ingredients must be exactly measured

Dissappointed
Date:March 28, 2013
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Did not meet expectations
Purchased this top end model hoping to have good homebaked bread - following recipes as per intructions but not getting good results. Fruit bread consistently comes out uncooked at the top, rapid loaf recipes deliver uncooked bread and overall I'm left feeling I've wasted my money on this item. I was so looking forward to baking nice different variety breads and not buy supermarket additive laden bread. Has definitely not matched my expectations let alone exceed them.

Good so far
Date:March 23, 2013
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Convenient
Cons: quiet beep
I have made my first 2 loafs of bread and they have turned out well. The only problem with the machine is that its finishing bleep is extremely quirt. I have good hearing, but could only just hear the beep.

Shaft wears out quickly and spares overpriced
Date:March 15, 2013
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
It makes great bread but after using a couple of dozen times the shaft which the paddle attaches to became very loose, so the paddle falls off and the bread is ruined.
Panasonic's spare prices are outrageously expensive.
Sadly, would not recommend.

great buy
Date:January 11, 2013
Pros: Easy to use, Exceeded Expectations
I have had a breadmaker before but as far as I am concerned this is the rolls royce of breadmakers.
so far have just used the bread recipe that came with breadmaker but it has turned out lovely loafs so far and no big hole in the centre. bit noisy when it starts to knead gives you a start with the clunky noise it makes but very quiet after that. pity it takes 4 hours to make a loaf from scratch but havent tried the quick bake yet. looking forward to trying more of the recipes.

Very good machine overall - but
Date:January 8, 2013
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: short mains cable
I had borrowed a friends older model Panasonic breadmaker before recently purchasing the SD-ZB2502 for myself. It appears to do all the things the older model did but with a better display it is better still.
My only criticism is that the mains cable could be 30-40 cm longer and I do not like the pink measuring spoon, the opaque white one was better.

Pros: Easy to use, Convenient
Very pleased with breadmaker. Very easy to use and have made some good bread with it. Many good features on this model. Well designed, and stainless steel and black finish make it very attractive to the eye.

I am following the recipes in the manual exactly but every loaf I have made (about 10) are too moist, and yesterday a french rustic load collapsed. Such a shame as I believe this could be a good product.

Beware
Date:September 22, 2012
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
I have tried to purchase this product from an online retailer.
I am in the process of returning my second breadmaker because the box did not contain the dispenser for yeast/nuts/raisins. I'm trying to replace an old Panasonic breadmaker with a new updated version but so far it is proving to be a hopeless task.

Bread the way it should be
Date:July 5, 2012
Pros: Easy to use, Exceeded Expectations, good looking
Having owned other breadmakers I had become used to the various results they produced, sometimes good some bad. This breadmaker produces not only the best homemade bread I have ever eaten and I do like to eat good homemade bread but it does it consistently, like every time. It quietly makes delicious, wholesome bread that will end the reliance on the rubbish called bread at the supermarket. In a nutshell quiet, good looking, efficient, brilliance! Get one, you will not regret it.

Not as good as previous Panasonic breadmaker?
Date:June 26, 2012
Pros: Easy to use, Convenient
Cons: Did not meet expectations, seems less good than previous model.
Had previous Panasonic breadmaker for six years. Used intensively. Brilliant! This one . . . early days but bread seems soggy, pale and insipid. 70% wholemeal loaf yesterday collapsed. Never happened before with last breadmaker SD-253 which successfully made two 70% wholemeal loaves every week for six years. Will, of course, try modifying recipe and see what happens but VERY disappointed in product that seems not as good as previous product.

One of my best purchases ever.
Date:June 7, 2012
Pros: Easy to use, Exceeded Expectations, Convenient
I love it. I have had it for 3 weeks and only made bread. Because I did not read the instruction booklet thoroughly before baking I made fundamental errors in my first couple of loaves. But now I know what I am doing my bread is scrumptious. Made a fresh loaf for when my daughter was visiting and as soon as she set eyes on it was carving chunky slices and eating it. Really good choice of product to buy. My brother has one and my sister is now getting one!

Pros: Easy to use
Cons: none
Have always said that if Panansonic made its breadmaker in black and silver I would replace my faithful friend of 13 years. I know the new one will be great but I am determined not to abandon its faded ancestor. I am hoping I can convert someone to the great benefit of the smell and flavour of fresh bread. Long live Panasonic breadmakers!

Excellent - as expected!
Date:April 30, 2012
Pros: Easy to use, Exceeded Expectations, cool design, easy to clean
Our previous Panasonic Breadmaker (SD206) performed faultlessly for 11 years. Of late, the quick bake option was a little erratic, so I thought that it was time for an upgrade. The SD-ZB2502BXC seemed to be the obvious choice, so we bought one.
The first loaf we tried was the spiced fruit loaf. We loaded all the ingredients into the pan as instructed, poured the yeast into the yeast dispenser, filled up the dried fruit dispenser, set the program and away it went.
I've always liked the lovely smells that our previous model produced, but this spiced loaf was a real treat for the nose. The loaf came out absolutely perfect, slid right out of the bread pan (a better non-stick coating than before) and left the inside of the machine perfectly clean and unblemished.
It was a little hard to wait until the loaf had cooled, but when we tasted it, it was fabulous! We're looking forward to trying many more recipes that the previous machine couldn't handle and await our promotional copy of the free book offered with the new machine.

Last panasonic breadmaker lasted 11 years and cooked about 1500 loaves.
